Lets get fit at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel Fitness Center


Hello readers,

Ramadan has passed and I am back with my exercise routine. I started exercising at mid 20's. Started with jogging at 'taman' with my small Aiman (at that time), followed by aerobics through CDs that I bought, I did it alone at the comfort of my own home and enhanced it by joining an exercise studio.

Exercise is more than just toning your abs, sexy body shape or weight loss. Other benefits of exercise that you should know :-

  • Grow your brain cells - exercise increases level of brain-derived protein which help to form new brain cells. It helps to improve overall brain performances, believes to help with decision making, higher thinking and learning.
  • Reduce stress - working out help manage physical and mental stress. It increases concentrations of norepinephine, a chemical that can moderate the brain's response to stress. Feeling tired after a long day at work? Do not give up. Get your outfit ready and sweat your body. Push yourself to a limit and enjoy your stress-free mind after the exercise. Win-Win!
  • Boost your mood/treat depression - Humans are the best creation by God. God created us perfectly with various emotions. Uncontrolled sadness, frustration, anger, dissatisfaction can lead us to a situation call depression. I was in such a situation before. The best reward I can give myself is Love. Exercise release mood-enhancing chemicals called endorphin. Endorphin are considered natural painkillers because it activates the receptors in the brain which minimize discomfort. Endorphin is a natural morphine. Treat your depression in a natural way i.e. through exercise. Show some love to yourself by doing exercise. Your body will appreciate it!
  • Keep your bones stronger - prevent osteoporosis
  • Boost immune system - 1 hour of exercise help to protect yourself against colds, flu
  • Increase blood flow - Exercise increase blood flow throughout your body which in return will make your skin better
  • Live longer - Fitness buff have better telomeres, the DNA that bookends our chromosomes and protect them from damage, which can slow the aging. Read more about how telomeres work here. Even though science proven that ageing can be reverse, prevent is still better, right? 

As a Fitness practitioner, I have enjoyed  various benefits of exercise. It shaped me to a better person today, physically and mentally. 

Ever since May, I became Renaissance Hotel Kuala Lumpur Fitness Center. With its location which is not far from my home, this 5 star fitness center became my 'playgound' I spent hours at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel's fitness center, enjoying my workout from one machine to another. 

I ran on the threadmill 

I joined Aerodance class with Suraya every Saturday morning. The spacious and comfortable dance studio is a perfect place for me to shake my body *love*

I cycled

You will be given towels upon checking in



I love the spacious gym 


Complete with weight plates, dumb bells, exercise balls, exercise bench, floor mat .. etc ..etc. Very neat and clean!

Not too bad if I say that this is one of my favourite spot for my weight lifting exercise

And another my favourite spot is located near the Fitness Center's entrance.

The fitness center is also equipped with stretching tools/equipment which help me to stretch my tired muscle .. I LIKE!

If you enjoy group exercise like me, this is for you. I have tried Body Step, Aerodance and Circuit Aerobic .. Its fun!

The fitness center also has a Kiosk Bar where members can chill with others while having their light snacks. Snacks can be purchase from Temptations Deli Corner located at the Ground level of the Hotel.
