Mrs Malaysia Tourism Queen 2017 Grand Final

The Grand Final of Mrs Malaysia Tourism Queen 2017 is over and the Queens of the pageant were crowned in a night of glitz and glamour at Shangri-La Hotel featuring “A” list judges and over 500 enthusiastic audience supporting their favourite queens.

And Misz-ella.blogspot.com was invited to be part of the night. Thank You very much organiser for inviting me.

The pageant saw about 22 finalists put up their best show to win the hearts of the judges and audience. The champion will then represent Malaysia at the Mrs Tourism Queen International to be held in Malaysia on June 2018.

Mrs Malaysia Tourism Queen 2017 participation opened to Malaysian married women aged 25 and above with two categories ~ Mrs (From age 25 to 40) and Classic (From age 41 and above). What more interesting was the oldest contestant for Classic category was a grandmother of 75 years old while the youngest is 27 years old. Married women, regardless their age is always lovely and one of the focus of Mrs Malaysia Tourism Queen 2017 is to enhance their confident as the organiser believed that married women are special on their own way and has their own strength.

First time held in Malaysia by Sentinel Pageant after the company managed to convince world renowned franchise proprietor, ERM Marketing, that it has all the capabilities to manage this pageant. 

Jenet Foo, the founder and director of Sentinel Pageant was a winner of Mrs Malaysia World 2015 and other numerous titles. In her welcome speech, Jenet paid tribute to ERM Marketing, all sponsors, judges, participants and their families for making the pageant a reality. It was also her dream to organise this pageant as a way to show her gratitude to what the community has given her.

The Grand Final was filled with much glitter with the parade of beauty ambassadors, magnificent cultural dance, enchanting LED dance, and mellifluous Angel (dubbed as Malaysian Tsai Chin) and singer-songwriter Reshmonu.

Katrina Loo Siew Ling, 39, a mother of two children, was crowned Mrs Malaysia Tourism Queen 2017 (below 40 years old)

For Katrina Loo, the title will further boost her determination to carry the Malaysian flag to the upcoming Mrs Tourism Queen International, which will also be held in Malaysia.

“I will do my best on the international stage and use my title to do charity and welfare. But as for now, I just need a good rest and to celebrate with my family and friends,” she says.

While Previtha Thiyagarajah, a mother of four children won the Classic category (over 40 years old) 

Previtha Thiyagarajah said "I was over the moon when they announced I won the Classic category because I always wanted to win this. The title will help me to contribute and help the underprivileged community. I must thank Jenet and everyone for this honour. The journey to the Grand Final has been such a wonderful one. I learned so much to boost my confidence and many other positive traits,”

The Grand Final ended around midnight.
