Raise funds for ANGSANAcare with Suria KLCC & Alamanda Shopping Mall


Hello hai readers,

During this season of gifting and giving, Suria KLCC and Alamanda Shopping Malls pledge to raise funds for ANGSANAcare, a fully registered non-profit Malaysian organization created as a support service to palliative care for underprivileged paediatric patients and their families in government hospitals in Malaysia.

Misz-ella.blogspot.com was invited to witness the ceremony in conjunction with Suria KLCC's Christmas launched.


Mr. Andrew Brien, Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of Suria KLCC in his speech said that ANGSANAcare was chosen because it rely completely on public and corporate donations to continue providing free services to their patients.

Suria KLCC aim to raise RM10,000.00 through the sales of Gift Boxes from 26 November till 26 December 2016. Shoppers and visitors of Suria KLCC can do their part to make a difference in the lives of these children. Donate RM10.00 for a gift box, write down your name on the gift box and place it at the Christmas art installation decoration of ground floor Park Mall entrance. All proceeds collected will be channeled to ANGSANAcare.



Ms Ria Thomas, the Chairperson of ANGSANcare who also presence during the launching ceremony said that "Paediatric palliative care patients live with fear, stress and uncertainty.  ANSANAcare Psychotherapists assess and support the emotional needs of the children in their care. We provide play, art and music therapy to these children with the aim of facilitating enjoyment and peace in their last days. Studies prove thatthese therapies not only allow children to express themselves more freely, but also successfully aid in the reduction of physical pain. Play, art and music therapies help them to focus their minds elsewhere whilst simultaneously creating an outlet for their fragile emotions."

During this festive season, Suria KLCC has chosen Santa's Village as their mall decoration theme. A cluster of small cottages, shops and artisanal buildings with Northern European influenced architecture is now awaiting the shoppers and guests at the Centre court. A beautiful Christmas tree with ornaments and brightly coloured lightings were fabricated, adding more joy to the celebration.

Apart from that, a 32 metre (100 feet) Christmas Tree majestically graced the KLCC esplanade. This Christmas tree had been recognized by The Malaysia Book of Records as the Tallest Christmas Tree in Malaysia in 2014 and 2015. Standing at 32 metres in height, 14 meters in width, 12.2 meters in diameter and 41,98kg in weight this tree is adorned with 2500 baubles, 3714 garland leaves, 40000 LED bulbs and 319 pieces of star shaped LED lights, this tree is a gift from Suria KLCC to all shoppers and visitors. Do not forget to take a pic at the tallest Christmas tree in our country and share the moment using the hashtag #tallestXmastreeSuriaKLCC. The tree will be up at the Esplanade until 3 January 2017 will be up at the KLCC Esplanade until 3 January 2017.


Gifts to Shoppers
With the spirit of giving during this festive season, Suria KLCC will reward its shoppers with gifts for purchases made from 26 November until 3 January 2017.
  • Spend RM650 and above in a single receipt and receive an exclusive teapot set 
  • Spend RM3,000 and above in a single receipt and bring home Innisfree Jeju Lava Sweater Set.



There will be varieties of dazzling Christmas performances during this festive celebration too. Among them includes classic and contemporary Christmas caroling, Christmas themed ballet dances, Highland Pipes & Drums, Korean Community Group Choir, Hip Hop, modern and jazz dance and children string ensemble and do not forget to look out for the Santa Claus special appearance to add more joy to your Christmas celebration at Suria KLCC.

To those who enjoy classical Christmas songs, an enthralling performance by the Malaysia Youth Philharmonic Orchestra will be held on 11 December at 8:00pm.
