Another 8 days before Ramadan ...  I am excited to usher the arrival of the holy month and I am sure you too. Here is another entry that you can refer to for your Buka Puasa.

This time, I went to one of my favourite hotel located in the heart of city centre, The Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Located at No. 5, Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin, Kuala Lumpur, Hotel Majestic is documented as a National heritage site. The colonial structure was built in 1932 and became one of the great hotels of Kuala Lumpur in its time.

FESTIVE VARIETY DINNER AT CONTANGO

Gather your closest family and friends for a unique dining experience. Featuring two open kitchens, Contango serves a wide variety of dishes freshly prepared to order, with cuisine ranging from Thai, Japanese to Western Grill and Italian, including a special focus on Local Malay Cuisine this month. Head to the taste of the northern flavours at the nasi campur section for mouth-watering dishes such as Ikan patin masak tempoyak, Sotong masak asam, Ayam sambal bunga kantan, Masak lemak telur itik, Sambal ikan bakar and Pajeri terung. Enjoy the tender and flavourful Kambing kerutub with soft and fragrant Nasi hujan panas seasoned with local spices, turmeric and shallots or nasi putih will be introduced throughout the festive season. 

The Festive Variety Dinner at Contango will be held from 25 May to 25 June and is priced at RM145 nett per person.

From 1 JUNE to 20th JUNE 2017

Other than that, diners will have the option to experience a culinary feast The Majestic Way with Majestic Festive Banquet Dinner.

Savour more than a hundred classic Malay recipes prepared specially by Chef Zaidi and his team presenting the famous Nasi minyak Jentayan which was formerly brought in from Sumatra Selatan by the Indonesian traveller. 

Other side dishes such as Udang goreng berempah Pulau Mutiara, Sambal bilis Cek Mek Molek and Acar buah senandung malam. 

Be sure to follow the alluring aroma of the authentic cuisine that fills the elegant Function Rooms at Level 3 for the tantalising traditional delights. Dont forget to check the Desert counter ~ Bubur Jagung, Sagu Gula Melaka, Traditional Malay Kueh .. A MUST TRY!
