Tree For A Tree at Bentong, Pahang

Hello readers ..

Happy weekend. Weekend is the much awaited day for most of us, because its our resting time .. am I right? I spent my last weekend with "Tree For A Tree" program, a monthly activity by Pertubuhan Pelindung Khazanah Alam (PEKA) Malaysia in collaboration with Tenaga Nasional Berhad.

This time, we went to Kawasan Hijau Pinggiran Benus, Bentong, Pahang. We are going to make this place greener ..

We departed from PEKA's office, Shah Alam at 6.45am and arrived the site by 8:00am. The traffic was clear ..

The program was officiated by Y.B. Dato Seri Liow Tiong Lai, Minister of Transporation Malaysia who is also the Member of Parliament for Bentong. Y.B. Dato' Seri in his earlier speech expressed his appreciation to Tenaga Nasional Berhad, PEKA and Majlis Perbandaran Bentong for our effort in making this event a success. Y.B. Dato' Seri Liow comitted to develop Bentong as part of  Eco-tourism destination in Malaysia.

Y.B. Dato' Seri Liow then planted a tree at to start the ceremony ..

Followed by the rest of us and here is Bazlinda, PEKA's Secretary General, the most important person behind Tree For A Tree program. Members from Angkatan Pertahanan Awam also helped in the tree planting programs.

I helped to plant a tree too ..

And Hello ... this is Daniel, PEKA's Exco who was also seen planting a tree during the program

Almost 300 students from Uniten helped to plant trees during Tree For A Tree progam in Bentong. Congratulations adik-adik .. you guys has just contributed to a Greener world ..

The weather was good .. all 300 trees were successfully planted by 12:30pm. We went back tired, dirty but happy.

Last but not least, a pic of PEKA Malaysia's representatives with Y.B. Dato' Seri Liow Tiong Lai .. Congratulations Dato' Seri for your initiative to make Bentong greener .. PEKA will definitely support any good cause in making our country a greener world!
