Mansion One Studio Suite, Gurney Drive, Penang

Hello readers,

I was in Penang a week ago, took a break from my busy hectic schedule. Penang is one of the most visited state in Malaysia. Malaysian loves Penang, especially for the delicious food ~ Nasi Kandar, Pasembur, Ice Kacang, Rojak, Penang Laksa and the list goes on ... *yummy!*

When in Penang, you might find its a bit difficult to choose the best accommodation that fit your stay, too many choices, perhaps. Well, let me give you a few tips :-

As for me, this are 3 factors that concern me a lot! is the room big and comfort enough? how is the bathroom? what about the ambience and surroundings? is it too quiet at night? 

I recently stayed at Mansion One studio suite during my Penang trip. Located at Gurney Drive, otherwise known as Persiaran Gurney, one of the most well-known places in Penang, this luxury studio suite is owned by Mr. Sandran, a friendly,  warm and happy go lucky Penangite who always offer his help during our stay.

 

Mansion One studio suite is spacious, nicely furnish, comfortable and very clean. The suite is complete with dining area, hall, kitchen with utensils, iron, hair dryer, air conditioner, fan, water heater and most importantly .. Free Wi-Fi! so you can stay connected with your family and friends during your stay.

Towels and basic toiletries are provided but not toothbrush and tooth paste. But do not worry because Mynews.com convenient store is available at ground floor of the building where you can shop your items in case if you need to while my favourite Starbucks coffee is just right infront of Mynews.com store. 

There is a 3 seater sofa at the hall.

A flat screen TV and Astro is available too.

Spacious, comfort and clean ~ other facilities includes refrigerator, kitchen cabinet complete with stove *perfect for aunty who loves cooking like me .. lol*, microwave oven, electric kettle and washing machine ... definitely a perfect choice for a long term visitor who want to feel like home while in Penang.

The bathroom comes with a shower room *I like*

Mr. Sandran's studio *i called him Mr. Shan .. hehe* is located at 15th floor and has a balcony with 3 views ~ the sea, mountains and the city.

All in .. all in .. I had a great time staying at Mansion One studio suite. Here are the reasons why I recommend this studio during your stay in Penang :-

The suite is so spacious compared to the most hotel room in Penang with the same price. Nicely furnished and clean.

The location is strategic .. less than 2km (8-10 minutes driving) to the Georgetown city where all Penang's attraction are located ~ Roti Canai Jalan Transfer, Pasar Chowrasta, Nasi Kandar Line Clear, Nasi Kandar Deen Maju, Penang Komtar, Nasi Kandar Tajuddin at Little India and many more. 5 minutes walking to Gurney Drive where you can find the famous Pasembur Pulau Mutiara, Gurney Paragon and Gurney Plaza is just 1.6km away while Penang Gleneagles Hospital is just next to Mansion One building. 

The suite is complete ~ cooking and washing are allowed!

Free parking, free Wi-Fi and 24 hours security.

You can find a local food just by foot.

Airport shuttle service, local city tour, local food tour with free delights and beverage is provided upon request. A customized tour package can also be arrange.

Other than just a normal stay like me, Mr. Sandran can also arrange a special romantic set up for those who want to celebrate their honeymoon or wedding anniversary in Penang. 

Price at Mansion One Studio suite starts from RM160-RM280. Mr. Sandran also owns a few other units in the same building i.e. Two rooms suite at RM260-RM360 and 3 rooms suite at RM320-RM480.
