Hello lovely readers,
I recently had an opportunity to return to my favourite hotel in the heart of city centre, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel to have a sneak preview on Dynasty's Restaurant innovative and delicious Cantonese flavors.
Dynasty Restaurant, located at East Wing Level 1, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel has recently converted into a pork-free restaurant. It is now ready to captivate your taste buds with innovative and delicious Cantonese flavors creatively put together by award-winning Executive Sous Chef Kok Chee
Kin.
Being someone who was born and raised in this multi-racial country, Cantonese flavors food are not new to me. Not too bad if I say that I am a lucky girl, surrounded by friends for all walks of life, from various religions, beliefs and races, living harmoniously together with respect and love. I enjoyed all kinds of food so lets check it out!
Crispy Prawn Toast with Sesame ... ehemmm .. one is not enough for me
Pan Seared Shanghai Dumplings
Crispy chive biscuit filled with shrimps ~ crispy, the shrimps are fresh and juicy.
A wide selection of authentic and delectable Cantonese delicacies are available from the A La Carte Menu and a complete range of delicious Dim Sum to please every palate.
Diners at Dynasty can choose from appetizers to barbecued and roasted
specialties including soups and seafood along with poultry and vegetarian
dishes. For meat cravings, there is a range of beef, venison and lamb to choose
from.
Poached Fish Fillet with Ginger soup and Chili in Claypot ~ A bit spicy but good to keep us warm and very healthy.
There is also a variety of live seafood prepared according to the diner’s
preference as well as a range of claypot dishes.
Chef Kok Chee Kin who has masterfully helmed the kitchen through his unfailing
adherence to Cantonese cuisine's principles said, “Cantonese cuisine is famously
subtle and the cooking techniques are kept simple - steaming, braising or stir frying
and some of the processes that go in a dish are known to be complex.
Guests dining at Dynasty will be treated to an interesting array of dishes that is
light on the palate while emphasizing on a distinct primary flavour of the main
ingredients used.”
Baked Cod Portugese Style (with petai, lady finger and eggplant) I dont eat petai but Cod fish is my favourite. A bit spicy but delicious!
For those with a penchant for local flavors, do check out the Baked cod
Portuguese style prepared with indigenous ingredients or the Casserole of beef
with vermicelli in satay sauce for a classic Malaysian taste and the Stir fried
venison with greens in hot sauce for a peppery aftertaste.
Barbecued Chicken with Glazed Honey Sauce ~ Well .. not too difficult to guess the taste .. juicy and sweet!
Deep Fried Oyster ~ crispy!
Aromatic Duck breast with Tea leaves
