The Signature 'Peking Duck' Promotion at Dynasty, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel

Who likes to eat ducks? Well .. to be honest not me. When we were small, mom used to cook chicken more than duck. As times goes by, we learnt how to eat ducks .. Rendang Itik is among our favourites!!

I recently had an opportunity to enjoy Executive Sous Chef Kok Che Kin's Signature Peking Duck at Dynasty Restaurant.

Peking duck, which is made from the Pekin duck is a popular dish in the Chinese cuisine. It is also the most common duck meat consumed in the United State. This is because most commercially raised Pekins come from Long Island, New York. Pekins are also known as "Long Island" duck.

In conjunction with our 60th Merdeka Day, the award-winning Dynasty Restaurant (pork free), Renaissance Hotel Kuala Lumpur is now having a Peking Duck promotion. 

Dynasty Restaurant is renowned for its Signature Peking Duck. Meticulously marinated with a combination of spices and Chinese herbs, they are roasted in a traditional charcoal-fired roasting oven. The roasting process takes about an hour, infusing into the bird with a delicious smoky aroma while keeping its skin scrumptiously crispy and the meat succulent.

Available for dinner from 30 August to 30 September 2017 at RM60.60nett per bird, these delicious ducks are normally priced at RM168nett and are available for dine-in only with an order of any main course or a side dish from the a la carte menu.

Every Signature Peking Duck ordered is hand-carved at the dining table and the crispy skin is served with homemade pancake, scallion, cucumber, carrot and plum sauce.

Meanwhile, the meat is taken back to the kitchen and cooked according to the diner’s choice of preparation.  

This is what we chosed~ Stir Fried Shredded Duck Meat with Chef's Savory Sauce.

Other options available in the Menu are ~ Stir fried savory shredded duck meat with garlic & chopped chilli, Cantonese style shredded duck meat, Sauteed sliced duck with sweet & sour sauce & pineapple, Stewed sliced duck with onion in oyster sauce, Stir fried sliced duck meat with sun-dried chili and scallion, Stir fried sliced duck with mango and capsicum and Stewed duck slices with picked vegetables.

The Signature 'Peking Duck' promotion will end this 30th September 2017. Special price of RM60.60nett (its our 60th Merdeka anniversary, remember!) with any order from the main course or side dish listed in the a la carte menu. It is available for dine-in and dinner only.
